From November through April is prime time to catch Big Stripers on Ouachita. The lake is 30 miles west of Hot Springs Arkansas. It is known for it’s trophy sized Stripers. My guided trips to Ouachita are usually for two days of fishing.
We typically drive down on Friday and set up camp or get a room for Friday and Saturday night. We get up very early on Saturday and start fishing at sunrise. We then take a 2 hr. break at lunchtime for a shore lunch (we usually have Striper for lunch).
Then back out on the lake to fish until sundown. Another early wake up on Sunday morning for a sunrise departure, and fish until noon. I furnish all the bait and tackle need for the two days of fishing. There are campgrounds and motels close to where we fish so you can make those arrangements.
There are restaurants about 8 miles from the lake where we’ll be staying if you don’t want to cook while you’re at the lake. The cost for these trips is $800 for up to 4 anglers. That is $200 per person if you have 4 in your party. This price does not include lodging.
